There is so much information it can get overwhelming. John-Paul took the time to make sure everyone understood before moving onto the next topic. The Social Media Certificate is a 60 hour program that consist of four 15 hour courses. Each student interested in earning a certificate in Social Media will register for the following courses:
SOC E51 – Introduction to Social Media Marketing Course Description: Provides instruction for entrepreneurs, business owners, promoters and organizations seeking to utilize the growing opportunities available through social media marketing. Investigates a variety of social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Foursquare) their functions, user information, advertising capabilities and best practices. An understanding of the Internet, email and Facebook accounts are required.
SOC E52 – Social Media: Online Presence Course Description: Explore ways to make it easy for online users to instantly connect with a business or organization while strengthening the relationships between the two. Learn how to maintain a strong online presence while capturing positive feedback from users. Maximize online presence with a variety of marketing techniques using while using social media.
SOC E53 – Social Media: Advertising Course Description: Looking to increase brand awareness through online advertising while using Social Media? Review Facebook ad campaigns and Google Analytics to effectively and efficiently promote a business, organization or event on social media. Even on a tight budget, it is possible to advertise like the professionals.
SOC E54 – Social Media: Management Course Description: Learn about the opportunities and challenges when managing an online presence with social media, including best practices and creative marketing techniques. Stay consistent with online messaging using expert tools for easy management of multiple accounts.
